NOTICE OF RACE
Please Note: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there will be some changes to the normal format. Masks are required while on the porch, in the clubhouse, or where social distancing of 6' or more cannot be maintained. The clubhouse is closed except for the restrooms (no kitchen, no inside shower). There is an outside shower available. No food or drink will be provided at this event so please plan accordingly. The Port Hole Inn is open and can provide carryout and/or dine-in service. This event is also contingent on various factors including Federal/State/County guidance or orders, and the health and fitness of support staff. We will do our best to keep you informed of any changes that may be required.
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 The prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association (US Sailing) national authority will apply.
1.3 The prescriptions of the Force 5 Class Association will apply.
1.4 This event will be held in compliance with CDC, Federal, State, County requirements related to COVID-19 (Attachment A of the Sailing Instructions). All competitors, non-sailing visitors, and event staff are required to follow this guidance at all times.
2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 This regatta is open to all boats of the Force 5 class.
3.1 There is no entry fee for this event. There will be a Lake Lemon use fee of $8 for out of town participants. A small donation would be appreciated to cover nominal expenses.

4.5 The number of races scheduled each day will be weather dependent, and at the discretion of the race committee.
5 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
5.1 The sailing instructions will be available at the event.
6 VENUE AND COURSES
6.1 Races will be on Lake Lemon, generally within a half-mile of the Bloomington Yacht Club.

7 THE COURSES
7.1 See Sailing Instructions for course details.
8.1 One (1) races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
8.2 Scoring will be in accordance with RRS Appendix A.
8.3 If five (5) or fewer races are completed, each boat’s series score shall be the total of her race scores with no score excluded.
8.4 If six (6) or more races are completed, each boat’s series score shall be the total of her race scores with her worst score excluded.
9.1 It’s all about the journey! No prizes will be awarded for this event.
10 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
10.1 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta. Competitors will be required to sign a waiver and release at check-in.
11.1 Competitors are welcome to camp at the Bloomington Yacht Club facility. Restrooms and an outdoor (cold) shower are available. You are welcome to come early. If you will be arriving early, please let someone on the contact list know so we can make sure the club facility is open for you.
11.2 There are also hotels and motels in nearby Bloomington and Nashville, Indiana. There are also many short-term rental homes in the area. You can find most of them on vrbo.com or Airbnb.com. Below is a list of other rental options:
