Rules question

What better first post (in a long time) than a rules discussion. 

Section 5.02 RUDDER:
(d) The sides shall be flat and parallel, and may be tapered in the outer 13/4" (3.2cm)

So that's either 1 & 3/4 inches or 3 & 1/4 inches, spacing is so critical...

I'm assuming, and those I've spoken to, that it is it's 1 3/4 inches. If so, 1.75" converts to 4.445 cm, not 3.2 cm.

So how is that corrected in the rules?

It is 1 3/4" and I plan for us to to do a complete review of the rules once sailing season is done and will make the correction.

Isn’t it really 112/64ths?
